AutoMatic 80s is New Zealand's leading eighties touring show.  Featuring the very best new romantic and new wave hits, AutoMatic 80s perform songs by The Pretenders, Simple Minds, Pat Benatar, Billy Idol, INXS, David Bowie, Devo, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and many more. Their live, loud and pumping performances will transport you back to those heady, youthful times!

Hundreds of hours of pre-production and attention to detail create an authentic live eighties music experience that enthrals and delights audiences nationwide. It's virtually impossible to keep yourself from hitting the dance floor and singing at the top of your lungs. Great quality sound, top musicianship, great songs, mesmerising lighting, high impact backdrops and an electric atmosphere makes the AutoMatic 80s a must see show!




















About the band



AutoMatic 80s are Justin Maclaren, Pearl Runga, Ryan Wood, Clint Harris and Jayden Lee.


The AutoMatic 80s band members each have a background in songwriting and are recording and touring artists in their own right. As AutoMatic 80s they come together as fellow multi-instrumentalists and vocalists who deliver the hits true to their original recorded form with a hint of their own creative and dynamic flair to make the live shows aurally spectacular.

Justin is a dynamic vocalist and charismatic frontman with extraordinary sound-alike ability. His punchy, unrelenting stage presence- with enough energy to blow a sub out of the water - has audiences immediately transfixed.
Lead Guitar
Vocals
Ryan is best known around the NZ music scene as a bassist extraordinaire. In AutoMatic 80s he shows his depth of musical ability as lead guitarist. He is a perfectionist, going to great lengths to accurately reproduce the guitar sounds of the eighties.

Programming
Pearl, one of the legendary Runga sisters, supplies perfectly blended backing vocals and smashes out lead vocals in a number of songs in the AutoMatic 80s repertoire.
Drums
Jayden is the powerhouse of the band with exceptional technical ability, who can match the varied drum styles of the Automatic 80s set with precision and accuracy. Jayden is also part of Auckland three piece Alae.
Bass
Vocals
Clint Harris also lent his song-writing talent and masterful bass playing skills to OPSHOP and currently tours with NZ icons, The Feelers. He is a highly sort after session musician and has collaborated with a huge number of different artists.
